Connie Britton was born on the sixth of March in the year 1968 as the daughter of Allen Womack and his wife Linda Womack. Her birth name was Constance Womack; Britton is her marriage name which she still uses even though she’s divorced. Connie went to school like any other child and majored in Asian studies at Dartmouth College. When she finally did graduate in 1989, she moved to New York and spent two years at Neighborhood Playhouse where she was studying with Sanford Meisner. It was at the Playhouse that her journey to fame as an actress began.

While still in Neighborhood Playhouse, Connie Britton made her theatrical debut in Caroline Kava’s The Early Girl that took place at the Courtyard Playhouse. She played Laurel, a seasoned prostitute and an antagonist to Cooper Lawrence who featured as Joan and has a strong radio and television personality. Her performance was awesome. On graduating, Britton worked with off-Broadway theatre Productions for two years. She moved to London after the success of the Brothers McMullen film in 1995.

Connie Britton got a Television Critics Association Award in the years 2007 and 2008 for Individual Achievement in Drama due to the film Friday Night Lights. She’s also got a Gotham award for best ensemble cast in the film The Last Winter.
